Eureka City Schools is proud to support our neighbors in the Hoopa community as they are impacted by the ongoing fires in the region.

Today, ECS donated 67 air purifiers - including 9 large, 18 medium, and 40 small units - to Humboldt COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) for distribution to the Hoopa community. We are also providing approximately 9,600 N95 face masks to help support ongoing and future emergency needs.

Our Maintenance & Facilities team worked quickly to pull the emergency supplies from our warehouse and prepare them for pickup and transportation.

We are grateful to Humboldt COAD, our law enforcement partners, and the network of volunteers working together to help get these resources where they are needed. When our neighboring communities need support, we are always glad to help however we can.

August is amping up at Eureka City Schools! 🎉

The last two weeks have been BUSY - and our staff have been all in! From Relentless Leadership Training and New Employee Orientations for all staff to our districtwide Welcome Back event and many other professional development and growth opportunities happening across our school sites, our teams have been learning, connecting, planning, and getting ready for a great year ahead.

There’s a lot of energy across ECS right now, and we’re almost to the best part…our learners are coming back! 💚

We can’t wait to welcome learners back to all of our campuses on Monday, August 17th! Classrooms are getting ready, staff are excited, and we’re looking forward to seeing our schools full of learners again.

Here’s to a great start to the 2026-27 school year! 📚✨
