For this week's , we check in with Rockwood parent and Board member Sarah Boyer, who was part of a group of current and retired special education teachers - including Rockwood's Lauren Schneider - that traveled to Chiquimula, Guatemala, with the group Cotinga. During the trip, these educators helped train teachers on aspects such as taking data to track student progress, using positive reinforcement to engage learners and build self-confidence in students and strategies to engage all learners in math, reading and writing!

Send photos of your summer fun and learning adventures - in St. Louis or around the globe - to [email protected] so we can share with the Rockwood community!

The Rockwood Transportation Department earned a first-time pass rate of 99.2 percent on this year’s annual Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) bus inspection process. Out of the 129 active Rockwood buses, only one was not a first-time pass. Rockwood will maintain its Fleet Excellence award from the MSHP, earned by having more than 90 percent of a fleet's vehicles pass first-time inspections.

Thank you to the Rockwood Transportation maintenance staff members for keeping our buses in top shape!
