College of the Redwoods Softball is excited to officially welcome Zack Mathis to our coaching staff as our new Hitting Coach!

Coach Mathis brings an impressive background in both playing and player development. His playing career included stops at San Joaquin Delta College and LSU, along with experience in the San Diego Padres organization.

For the past five years, Coach Mathis has worked in player development with collegiate softball and baseball athletes, focusing not only on hitting mechanics and approach, but also on the mental side of the game. His experience developing confident, disciplined hitters will be a great addition to our program and the continued growth of our student-athletes.

We’re excited for the knowledge, experience, and perspective Coach Mathis will bring to our hitters and our program as a whole.
