College of the Redwoods Adult & Community Education Not-for-credit and noncredit courses are offered. These courses are free and focused on self improvement or basic skills to improve employment skills.

Adult & Community Education offers vocational or certificate-based trainings as well as ESL, High School Equivalency, Workforce Development, Medical Assisting and more! Adult & Community Education department partners with the community to contribute to the economic vitality of the region, provides workforce training to support local employers' needs, and provides lifelong learning opportunities wi

thin the District. The Not-for-credit classes are offered in addition to the College’s academic programs through a self-supporting entity of College of the Redwoods. These courses include Phlebotomy, Truck Driving, Injections, Venipuncture, Contract Education, Incident Safety for Hired Vendors, 40-Hour Basic Wildland Fire School and many more. The Noncredit offering include ESL, High School Equivalency Prep, Work Readiness, Medical Assisting and Living Skills for Student with Disabilities.

Applications are now open for College of the Redwoods’ Fall 2026 Truck Driver Training Program. This intensive five-week program combines behind-the-wheel training with online instruction to prepare participants for Commercial Driver’s License testing. Completed applications are due July 31.

The Board of Trustees of College of the Redwoods Community College District has formally initiated the search for the College’s next President and is inviting broad community participation in shaping the position profile. This profile will guide recruitment efforts and outline the desired characteristics, qualifications, and leadership experience for the College’s next chief executive, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the District.

Town halls will be held both in person and via Zoom to maximize accessibility. An additional communication with a link to the online survey will be distributed on February 12. Community feedback gathered through these forums and the survey will inform the development of the final position profile.
