My son once told me, “I don’t want to do school. I just want to be with you.”

And it hit me hard 🫶🏻

Because I had all the materials. I had years of teaching experience. I had ideas pinned and downloaded and in my messy mental calendar.

But he didn’t want a “perfect” preschool plan.

He wanted me.

That’s when I stopped trying to recreate a classroom at home — and started creating a routine that actually worked for us.

Now, inside my Home Sweet Preschool membership, I help other moms do the same.

Looking for a meaningful way to boost your child’s confidence + build early language skills?

First, listen to the read-aloud “All My Stripes” (link in comments). Its about a little zebra who leaens how special his “autism stripe” is ❤️

Here’s one of my favorite preschool prompts for after the story — and it’s so simple:

🦓 Ask your child:

“If YOU were a zebra, what would your stripes stand for?”

Their answers might surprise you — and give you a cute little peek at how they see themselves.

Then try this:

🎨 Invite them to paint or draw their own zebra stripes. No rules — let their creativity flow.

Talk about what each stripe means: maybe kindness, silliness, curiosity, bravery.

This kind of playful activity builds:

✔ Self-awareness
✔ Vocabulary
✔ Emotional connection
✔ Early storytelling skills

Learning time with our kids feels easy and actually FUN! Exactly what it should be ❤️

Yes my members get daily plans, activity books, links, and whatever else they need for easy success.

My members also get each other and a real teacher.

I answer little kids’ science questions on the fly, I get to see the siblings join in, and i get to help moms figure out why their experiment didn’t work.

We just figure it out and we always laugh 🥰
