We are now teaching recorders and marimbas - the classes are exceeding our expectations! Students who learn the recorder learn to read music - learning to read music helps develop listening skills, aural skills - it helps develop hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills, self-confidence and self esteem to list a few of the benefits of music classes for young students.

In addition to our keyboard classes, we are now teaching recorders and glockenspiels, which the students have taken to with great enthusiasm. We can teach 15 to 20 students of all ages in one class. We make it easy for all students to learn and participate by prioritizing their experience, and ensuring the classes are engaging and rewarding for each one.
Our aim is to open up the world of music appreciation so the learning is fun, stress-free and collaborative.

We focus on strengthening children’s confidence and self-esteem. An important part of our curriculum is the opportunity to practice presenting in front of an audience with confidence. Humboldt Keyboarders students exercise projecting their voices and learn how to make a good impression in front of a group.

Each student has their own keyboard and headset in the class, and they choose the songs they want to play from our extensive music library.
