As a non-profit daycare, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children ages 0–6 can learn, explore, and thrive. Every day, we have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of local children and families and we're looking for people who share that passion.

🍂 FALL CHILDCARE OPENINGS NOW AVAILABLE! 🍂

Bright Skies Daycare is now enrolling for Fall 2026, with care available beginning August 31st for children ages 0–6 years.

At Bright Skies, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, discovery, and meaningful connections. Our non-profit program provides a safe, nurturing environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. From sensory activities and outdoor adventures to music, art, early learning, and social-emotional development, every day is designed to help children grow with confidence.

This week at Bright Skies we are exploring bugs, the letter H, its sounds and sign language sign, and the color black! 🐞🖤🐛

Today our little learners went on a bug hunt adventure and had so much fun exploring the outdoors. The children searched for insects, observed their habitats, and talked about the different things bugs eat. Afterward, we created nature bracelets using grasses, leaves, flowers, and other items we found along the way that bugs enjoy in their environment. All while we wait for our catapillers grow inside the classroom.

This hands-on activity was such a fun and stimulating learning experience that encouraged sensory play, observation skills, creativity, and curiosity about the world around us! 🌿🐜🦋

As a small non-profit childcare program, we are always working to grow and improve the learning environment for the children in our care. One thing many people may not realize is just how quickly educational and sensory materials are loved, used, and worn through little hands exploring the world every day. 💛

We recently put together a wish list filled with items that support sensory play, sorting activities, fine motor development, imaginative learning, and everyday classroom needs. These materials help our children build important developmental skills through hands-on play and exploration.

We never expect our community to carry the weight of our program, but we do believe it takes a village to build strong spaces for children to learn and grow. If you have ever wanted to support our little daycare in a meaningful way, sharing or contributing to our wish list would mean so much to us, our staff, and especially our kiddos.

Thank you for continuing to support our mission and the future of early childhood in our community. 🌿✨

Our Kiddos are hatching a clutch of barn yard mix chicks!! 🐣🐥

They have worked so hard on this project by practicing their patience and refraining from touching and opening the incubator. Thats a big deal for this age group and we are so proud of them.

We are currently seeking coops for all but 5!

We would like to introduce Miss Bella, our newest addition to our team at Bright Skies. We look forward to sharing so many great memories with her.

My name is Bella, and I am so excited to be joining the team here! I recently moved to the Eureka area from Washington to be closer to my family, and I couldn't be happier to be planting roots in such a beautiful community.

When I’m not at the daycare or, you can usually find me hanging out with my dog and cat, or planning out my flower garden. I chose a career in childcare because I truly believe the early years are the most important. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child’s face light up when they master a new skill or discover something cool for the first time. I’m passionate about creating a safe, patient, and fun environment where every child feels like they belong.
