Sometimes I get teary about how lucky I am to be surrounded by such beauty.

From Vine to Paper
Purple fingers from an afternoon blackberry nibble sparked an exploration.
Blackberry Acrylic Paint!

As an experiment back in January, we buried our last surviving autumn pumpkin in the garden bed. At the beginning of July we dug up the whole bed and found all of the pumpkin seeds left in the soil. (Decomposition!)
One child wanted to plant them in a corner to see what would happen. He sowed the seeds and grew so many sprouts!!! We planted them out in the garden bed (along with a few other starts) and BAM KAZAAM!!! Looking forward to our pumpkin patch and all of the learning opportunities that come with it!

Last week we observed a Queen Bee and Drone! We sat in the grass and watched their dance until they both flew away. Sunny Friday afternoon 🌞🐝🐝
