šŸ’œ Clear Spring is going purple for the month of October!

Weā€™ve added purple lights to the front of our office building and the Poe Learning Center for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, standing in solidarity with survivors and supporting The Purple Flower DV&SA Resource & Support Ctr.

These lights are a small, visible reminder: everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard.

Our high school students are learning what it takes to care for a community, from understanding local government to tending a public garden.

They toured City Hall, met with the Mayor, and explored the logistics and nuances of how local government works. They also had their first session with Jackie Wolven at the Main Street Eureka Springs, discussing civic engagement and how each of us can contribute with the time, skills, and resources we have.

They put that conversation into practice! As part of their community service unit, students volunteered in the Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library gardenā€”raking, weeding, sweeping, and preparing the beds for winter.

Our Helping Heroes Program is up and going again this year. If you know of someone who could use a little help because of unforeseen circumstances, illness, or physical limitations please click the link below and fill out the google form and nominate someone you know or self nominate. Our high school students are interning with local businesses, gaining hands-on experience, exploring their interests, and discovering where their talents might lead.

For Amelia, that means music! Sheā€™s interning with Louis Chavelier at Vintage Tone on Spring Street, learning instrument repair and helping around the shop. Sheā€™ll also spend time with musicians and join in impromptu jam sessions. Amelia is currently learning bass guitar at the School of Rock in Fayetteville, so this opportunity was ripe for the pickin' (get it?) šŸ™‚

Weā€™re a day late on the calendar, but we are endlessly grateful. šŸ’š

In honor of World Teachersā€™ Day, weā€™re celebrating our amazing Clear Spring School teachersā€”the creative minds who think outside the box and often take learning outside the classroom.

They make room for big questions, unexpected discoveries, messy projects, and another try. They create safe, nurturing spaces where students can feel comfortable being themselves, finding their voices, and asking for help.

To our teachers: thank you for noticing the quiet victories, encouraging the wild ideas, and seeing the possibilities in every child. We see the patience, care, and imagination you bring to your work, and weā€™re so grateful.

Our P.E.T. (Parent Effectiveness Training) eight-session series begins this Thursday, October 1, from 6ā€“8 PM at Clear Spring School.

P.E.T. is designed to help parents and caregivers strengthen communication, navigate conflict, set healthy boundaries, and build deeper, more respectful relationships with their children.

Whether youā€™re looking for new ways to handle everyday challenges or simply want to feel more connected and confident in your parenting, this series offers practical tools you can use at home right away.

šŸšŸ’¦ Creek critters, snakes, painting, exploringā€¦ now THAT is a school day!

Our Lower Elementary students had an absolute blast at the Ponca Nature Center this week! They jumped into a Stream Team activity, learned all about Arkansas snakes, painted a few snakes of their own, and explored the Nature Centerā€™s interactive exhibits.

Weā€™re so grateful to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for creating these incredible hands-on experiences for our kiddosā€”where curiosity gets messy, learning gets adventurous, and the natural world becomes the classroom. šŸŒæ
