NOTICE TO PARENTS: Transportation Department Special Saturday Hours

Please be advised that the Transportation Department will be working this Saturday, August 22nd from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to assist families with bus route inquiries. If you have any questions regarding your child's bus route, bus number, pickup location, or schedule, staff members will be available to assist you.

The St. Landry Parish School Board is accepting applications for membership on the Special Education Advisory Council.

This council will meet three (3) times per year to provide advice and recommendations regarding special education policies, procedures, and resources. The council will also engage in outreach activities to the community at large to increase the level of knowledge, support, and collaboration with respect to special education.

Arrival & Attendance at HELC:

All students arrive between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. Students must be in their classrooms by 8:00 AM or they will be marked tardy. Also note that kindergarten students must be in the cafeteria by 7:50 AM to eat breakfast. 

See the map below to understand where to drop off car riders. Pre-K students will be dropped off in front of school. Kindergarten students are to be dropped off at the west gate. If you are dropping off both kindergarten and pre-K student.(s), you may drop them off at either gate.

Pre-K car riders are dismissed at 3:00 PM in front of school. Kindergarten car riders are dismissed at 3:15 PM at the West gate. If a pre-K student and a kindergarten student are being picked up in the same vehicle. They are to be picked up at 3:15 with the kindergarten student.
