Good Morning, Cardinal families!

📢We will operate schools on a normal schedule today, Friday, January 23rd.📢

👉The district coordinates weather guidance with other local agencies and the National Weather Service. ⭐️This morning, National Weather Service officials shared that they do not expect freezing conditions to occur until Friday afternoon.

🌨️We will continue to keep a close eye on the weather over the weekend to inform you as soon as possible about our plans for next week. 🗓️

Join Mary Lennox, Colin Craven and a host of others in a musical wonderland this Saturday, January 17th when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and local kinder-8th grade students present an original musical adaptation of THE SECRET GARDEN.
THE SECRET GARDEN will be presented at 3:00pm at Mettie Jordan Elementary. There is no cost to attend and the students would love your support!

📣 Dine for a Cause – October at MJE
For the month of October, Mettie Jordan Elementary will be hosting “Dine for a Cause” in support of Amanda Adams and her daughter Haven as they begin a long journey of medical procedures and expenses. ❤️
Families are invited to come eat lunch with your child during their lunch time. We are asking for a $5 donation per person, with all proceeds going directly to support the Adams family.
🍴 You may:
Bring lunch in for your child, or
Order a tray from the cafeteria (please let us know the day before if you plan to order so the cafeteria can prepare enough meals).
⏰ Schedule:
Available Monday through Friday in October
Wednesdays excluded due to early release

🎉 The time has come!! 🎉

This Friday we will be having Popcorn & Pickle Sales!! 🥤🍿🥒 (.50 cents)

We will also be collecting donations to support one of our own MJE Eunice Cardinal's family as they begin to tackle some heavy medical expenses. ❤️ Let’s rally together as a community!

✨ For the month of October, we’re excited to host “Dine for a Cause.” ✨
The cafeteria doors will be open at lunchtime, and for just $5 per person, you can come enjoy a meal with your student. (More details coming soon!)

📢 Hello MJE Families!
Just a reminder that Thursday, September 11th will be a noon release for Kinder - 5th Grade students. PreK 3 year old and Prek 4 year old will not have classes on this day!

🕐 From 1:00–3:30 PM, our teachers will be available to meet with parents and guardians. If you have concerns about your student, please reach out directly to their teacher to set up a time during this window.

📘 Please note: some teachers will be in professional development during this time. If your child’s teacher is unavailable, you can contact them to schedule a meeting at another time.

today is the Homecoming High School Football game versus the NMMI Colts, with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.

A couple of reminders for families:
Students are encouraged to wear red to show support for our Cardinals!

Corsages may be worn, but please tape the bells and use pins that will not poke the students throughout the day.

Tomorrow, MJE will head over to Cardinal Stadium for the Homecoming Pep Rally starting at 2:30 p.m. The school office will close at 2:00 and will reopen once the pep rally is over.

If parents would like to take their student to the pep rally, please check them out of the office before 2:00 p.m. Students will not be allowed to be checked out from Cardinal Stadium. All students will be dismissed at the regular time back at Mettie Jordan Elementary.

This is for the safety of all students.
