🌟 Student Spotlight: Hailey 🌟
Hailey is from Ville Platte, Louisiana, and currently resides in Lafayette. At just 20 years old, she is the youngest member of the LSUE Diagnostic Medical Sonography cohort.
Her interest in sonography began during her sophomore year of high school after attending a career fair and learning about the LSUE DMS Program. Inspired by the profession, Hailey began researching the field and even completed some of her prerequisite courses during her senior year of high school to prepare for her future career.
One of the aspects she loves most about ultrasound is its versatility. Sonography allows healthcare professionals to evaluate nearly every area of the human body while providing critical diagnostic information without the use of radiation.
Hailey is especially passionate about Obstetric and Gynecologic sonography. While many associate the specialty with imaging babies, she is drawn to the opportunity to play a role in women's healthcare, helping patients find answers and gain a better understanding of their health.
Recently, Hailey achieved a major milestone by passing her ARDMS Abdomen Registry examination on her first attempt, a testament to her hard work and dedication to the profession.
Her goal is to become a sonographer who not only produces high-quality diagnostic images but also provides empathy, compassion, and comfort to every patient she encounters.
