House Sorting Day at ECA 🎉🎉

Yesterday, our 26 new scholars were sorted into their new houses!

❤️ Red House: House of Love & Friendship
💙 Blue House: House of Dreamers & Doers
💜 Purple House: House of Generosity
💚 Green House: House of Bravery & Courage

The purpose of our house system is to foster encouragement and accountability within our school, and to reinforce positive behavior tied to the Fruits of the Spirit. If a scholar is "caught" showing fruits of the spirit or making good grades they earn house points. Within each house, our students and staff form bonds that are meaningful and rooted in community, friendship, and faith! We believe that each student is handpicked by God for their house, and once a student is in a house, they’re there for life!

AirUltra is helping ECA soar into the digital age! 💻🦅

Eunice Christian Academy is incredibly grateful to AirUltra owner Alex Morris and his team—Greg, Lester, and Rachel—for their generous donation of 14 laptops, completely FREE of charge!

These computers will give our students valuable opportunities to research, complete projects, practice word processing, participate in online learning games, and develop technology skills they will use throughout their lives.

At ECA, we pride ourselves on hands-on, meaningful learning, but we also recognize that our students are growing up in a digital age. Learning how to confidently and responsibly use technology is an essential part of preparing them for the future.

“We believe everyone deserves access to the tools they need to succeed,” said representatives from AirUltra, LLC. “This is just one of the many ways we’re giving back to the community that supports us.” Thank you, AirUltra, for investing in our students and helping provide them with tools to learn, grow, and succeed! We are honored to introduce the newest member of our ECA staff: Mrs. Celeste Cormier Ables! Mrs. Celeste will be teaching our PreK 4 Eagles! 🦅 💛🖤

“My name is Celeste Ables, and I am so excited to be joining the team as the new Pre-K4 teacher! I graduated from Eunice High School and later earned my degree from McNeese State University. For the past five years, I have had the privilege of teaching at Glendale Elementary, where I discovered just how much I love helping young children learn, grow, and build confidence. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband, Heath, our son, Scotty, and the rest of my family. My family is my biggest support system, and I am so thankful for the love and encouragement they give me every step of the way. I can't wait to meet my students and their families and begin this new adventure together! I'm looking forward to a year full of learning, laughter, creativity, and making lots of special memories. I'm so thankful for this opportunity and excited to become part of such an amazing school family.”

And just like that… the 2025-2026 school year is officially complete! 🎉

What a fantastic year it has been at ECA! We are so proud of the incredible growth we’ve seen in our students — not only academically, but spiritually as well! From new skills mastered in the classroom to deeper faith, stronger character, and meaningful friendships formed, this year was filled with so many moments worth celebrating!

One of those memorable moments was honoring our Eagle of the Year: Trew Mitchell! This prestigious honor is awarded to a student who consistently displays all of the Fruits of the Spirit, and this year, the decision among our staff was UNANIMOUS! Trew has touched every one of our hearts. A few words our staff used to describe him are: joyful, pure hearted, trustworthy, artistic, humble and consistent. His character never waivers, and his worship and love for the Lord is infectious. When his class presented the devotional at chapel earlier this year, he said “When we share the light of Jesus, we don’t make our own light smaller, we make the whole room brighter.” Trew absolutely brightens every room he is in and we all aspire to live like Jesus the way he does! Congratulations, Trew! 💛

Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and families for partnering with us every step of the way. Most of all, we thank God for His faithfulness throughout this school year!
