"Hi! I was born and raised in Farmers Branch, but I have spent most of my adult life on the Tarrant County side of the metroplex. I have a BA in Psychology from OU, a MS in Kinesiology from TWU, and a MEd in School Psychology from Lamar University.
This is my 25th year in education, 8th as a school counselor, and have mainly taught high school science and coached swimming.
I have been married for 20 years this year. We have 4 boys (17, 16, 16, and 10) and 3 dogs. I love to read/listen to books when I can, but most of my free time is spent either at Texas Rangers Baseball Games, OU Sporting Events, or my sons' games and activities. I am very excited to join the Treetops Family.

TREETOPS FAMILIES — the time is near.
You’ve done all the things. You’ve kept them busy. You’ve survived the “I’m bored” chorus more times than you can count. You’ve done the road trips, the pool days, the late nights and later mornings. You’ve squeezed every last drop out of summer.
And now? It’s almost time to trade the sunscreen for backpacks.
Behind the scenes, our teachers have already been hard at work prepping their classrooms and getting ready to welcome your kids back.
We’re so excited to welcome back our returning families and give a special hello to everyone joining the Treetops community for the first time. Here’s how we’re kicking things off:
🌱 Pre-K & Kindergarten Open House
Friday, July 31st at 5:30 p.m.
Meet us in the Pre-K/Kinder Building for a brief welcome from Dr. James and Ms. Stephanie before heading off to meet your child’s teacher and explore the classroom.
📚 Grades 1 and Up Open House
Monday, August 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
Join us in the Gym for a brief welcome from Dr. James, some of our Board Members, and Ms. Stephanie before visiting classrooms and meeting teachers.
Open House is your chance to walk the halls, meet the people who’ll be spending their days with your kids, and get a real feel for the year ahead. Keep an eye out for a welcome email from your child’s teacher soon, plus our school supply list on the website so everyone starts the year ready to go.
