No money will be due on picture day. All students will be photographed for the yearbook.
You will be sent an email with instructions in about 2 weeks with a code allowing you to view, select your background, and purchase your portrait packages online.

Dear New Spartan Students and Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the Central Junior High family! We are excited to welcome you as the newest members of our Spartan community and can't wait to meet you.

To help students feel comfortable and confident before the first day of school, we invite you to attend Spartan Camp on Wednesday, August 5th.

Check-In: 4:00 p.m.
Program Begins: 4:30 p.m.

Park in the south parking lot (the lot between the school and the football field) and enter through the gym doors.
Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the opening session together. We'll kick off the evening with a fun mini-pep rally, introduce you to our front office support staff, and share what it means to be a Central Spartan.

After the opening session:

Students will be dismissed in small groups to tour the building, meet staff members, and learn important campus procedures and expectations that will help them have a successful start to the school year.
Parents/Guardians will remain in the gym for a brief welcome meeting with me, where I'll share important information about the school year.
At 6:30 p.m., parents/guardians will return to campus to pick up their student outside of the main doors of the building. At that time, you are also welcome to walk the hallways together so your student can show you around and become even more familiar with their new school.

Chromebook Information

Students who attended an HEB ISD school during the 2025–2026 school year should already have a district-issued Chromebook.
Students who are new to HEB ISD will receive their district-issued Chromebook during their Spartan Camp tour.
Spartan Camp is a wonderful opportunity to meet new classmates, connect with our staff, and begin the school year feeling prepared and excited. We hope every new Spartan and their family can join us!

We look forward to welcoming you on August 5th and officially beginning an outstanding year together at Central Junior High.
