Welcome to the crew, Katie!

Hi, my name is Katie! I am excited and look forward to serving Bear Creek and the PTA more this year.

I am happily married and we have 3 daughters. I work part time, remotely with a company called Genesis PT & Wellness as an admin worker, which I absolutely love. When I am not working I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, and gardening.

This is our second year at Bear Creek and we love it here so much! I am so excited to be able to have the flexibility to help out more this year. I am looking forward to helping make this year wonderful and fun for all!

During the day, your child’s teacher will reach out to introduce themselves and share classroom information.

When you arrive for Meet the Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to:
🎒 Drop off your school supplies at your child’s desk. (If you pre-purchased school supplies, they’ll already be waiting in the classroom!)
👩‍🏫 Meet your teacher and explore the classroom.
⭐ Meet our amazing administration and staff.
🐻 Stop by and say hello to your Bear Creek PTA! We’d love to meet you, answer questions, and share ways you can be involved throughout the year.

Joining the PTA doesn’t mean you have to volunteer. 💙 While volunteers are always appreciated, becoming a member simply helps support our students, teachers, and school community. Whether you have a little time, a lot of time, or no time at all—we’d love to have you as part of our Cub family!

This is also a wonderful opportunity to:

Rounding out our Executive board is Dawn, me, the face behind the posts gracing your timeline today.

Hi, I’m Dawn! I’m a happily married stay-at-home mom to three amazing girls and proud to serve as your PTA Secretary and 2nd Grade Level Coordinator this year. Our family has deep roots at Bear Creek—my older daughters, Ianna and Dayla, are both BCE alumni. Ianna graduated from CHHS in 2025, Dayla is starting her sophomore year at Collegiate Academy, and my youngest, Lydia, is excited to be in 2nd grade at BCE this year. When I’m not volunteering at school or occasionally substituting in the classroom, you’ll usually find me designing t-shirts or adding another “book trophy” to my ever-growing bookshelves. I’m passionate about helping make Bear Creek a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place where every child, no matter their background, feels seen, valued, and celebrated. I can’t wait to help make this an incredible year for our students, teachers, and families! 💙💛
