With the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence, navigating the future can feel dizzying at times. We wrapped up our recent course on AI with this classic 2002 reflection by former US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld:
"There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know."

At OLLI, our members don’t just share a passion for lifelong learning—they bring a lifetime of incredible, jaw-dropping stories with them. Last week, our community had the privilege of hearing from member Janet Dart, who led a powerful discussion on cults. Janet shared her firsthand experience, reading from her newly published memoir, Tender Loving Care: Escaping One of the Most Dangerous Cults in America. Pictured here is Janet holding her 1972 wedding dress—a poignant piece of history from her eight years inside Synanon. Join OLLI today and never miss a story!
