Aunties are precious to our People. They hold many roles in uplifting our communities as culture bearers, teachers, caregivers, mentors, and so much more. They are vital to our families and essential to our ways of life.

They are also the ones who always seem to know what's going on, offer wisdom when you need it, and keep us humble with a well-timed look, laugh, or reminder.

Happy Auntie's Day today, and know that we cherish our aunties every day. Gunalchéesh, Háw’aa, and T'oyaxsn to all our Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian aunties.
