Another year of fiddle camp in the books.
2 reasons I love fiddle camp for my kids and students: it gets them a little out of their comfort zone and it shows them a broader musical community beyond my studio and beyond the Suzuki/classical world.
This year I tried out mandolin and it was such a fun struggle! And you just have to love a camp that feeds everyone 2 snacks a day and ends with ice cream!

So proud of each one of my students as they bravely played with friends and family for our spring recital!

Thank you to all my students for trying something new with me! It was so fun to serenade dinner at an assisted living place and I think we need to make it a studio tradition. Next time though, I'll time it better so it doesn't take the same amount of time to tune as to play. 😅 I way overestimated the time we'd need between songs.
