"Alden" - a giraffe made from welded steel and found objects, 3 feet tall. This sculpture is a donation to a benefit auction for a vocational school for girls in Kenya that my studio landlord asked me to make. Micheal McKie, the landlord is a great guy, very supportive of my work and loves the pigs too, so I was happy to help when he asked. He gave me a few items to use, including his mess tray from his days in the military many years ago, which are included on the shoulder and hips of the giraffe.
