In an effort to prioritize community wellness, we will be closing the school on Thursday and Friday. Combined with the already scheduled day off on Monday, we hope that this five-day break will help curb the spread of illness in our community.
With the number of staff currently out, the added strain on our instructional assistants and substitutes, and guidance from health professionals regarding the risk of back-to-back illnesses, we believe this is the most appropriate step to support the health of our school community. Additionally, we recognize the high number of student absences and the ongoing health concerns for those still attending.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we take this step to promote the well-being of our students, staff, and families. We hope this time off allows our community to focus on their wellness; we will see you on Tuesday 2/18!
