Were you unable to attend the Health Insurance Town Hall at the end of April but still want to learn about upcoming changes to our health insurance?

We’re holding our interactive health insurance town hall on Zoom on Thursday, May 28th, 2026 from 6 to 7pm.

We want members to understand the significant changes we’re facing and the ways in which we can mitigate these increases. We’ll also discuss how these matters come to play at the bargaining table.

We want members to actively participate in making important insurance decisions.

The Health Insurance Town Hall is Monday, 27 April 2026 6-7:30pm in Spencer View Community Room & food will be provided! This interactive town hall will inform members about upcoming changes to our health insurance, which include significant increases to what we pay for health insurance. We want members to understand the changes we’re facing, and the ways in which we can mitigate these increases. We’ll also discuss how these matters will come to play at the bargaining table. Through activities and discussion, we want members to actively participate in making important insurance decisions. We hope to see you there!

We've got a busy weekend ahead! We're kicking our 50th Anniversary off with a march from the GTFF office to rally Johnson Hall this Friday, April 17 at 11:30am! Our second bargaining session will be held from 12:30-3:30 that afternoon in the EMU ballroom followed by a weekend of festivities! During this session, our bargaining team will introduce articles related to non-discrimination, protections for international GEs, anti-ICE protections, and our health insurance. GTFF is responding to massive changes in the federal landscape that affect our campus's safety as well as the cost of our lifesaving health insurance. Please join us for any and all activities this Friday through Sunday!
