We are having an open rehearsal for all New, Returning, Curious, Never Sung, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate Student… EVERYONE.

We want you to see what UO Choirs is all about. This does NOT commit you to singing but we hope this will make you want to join the UO Choirs family.

Join the University of Oregon Chamber Choir for their pre-tour concert Sunday, May 15th at 7:30pm PDT. They will be performing Joby Talbot's Path of Miracles, inspired by the Camino de Santiago. A week from today, UOCC will depart for Spain and perform this piece for the 850th Anniversary of the Order of St. James. See you virtually or in-person!

University of Oregon Chamber Choir: Path of Miracles The Chamber Choir is a highly select mixed chamber ensemble of 24-32 voices specializing in a ca****la repertoire from the sixteenth through twenty-first centuries. While masks are no longer required for SOMD events, those who would like to continue wearing face coverings are encouraged to do so.

Tonight's concert will have a world premiere by Professor Emeritus Harold Owen and a special presentation of Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols with dancers. Oregon Bach Festival The international, Grammy-winning music Festival returns with a season of virtual concerts. A new concert is available every day at noon, June 25 - July 11, 2021.

UNIVERSITY OF OREGON CHOIR AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Welcome to the University of Oregon Choral Ensembles page! If you enjoy singing, we hope you will join one of our choirs this fall.

All students (no matter their major) are welcome in any of our choirs. We have choirs appropriate for all experience levels, from people who have sung in choir for many years, to people who would like to join a choir for the first time.

This fall, auditions for the choral ensembles will take place over Zoom.

There are three steps to the audition.

Step #1
Please record yourself singing a solo song. This can be absolutely anything that you like, accompanied or unaccompanied, and whatever genre you are comfortable singing in. We just want to hear what you sound like when you sing.

Step #2
Please upload your solo to a YouTube account, and then send the link to your solo audition to both of us (Dr. Sharon J. Paul: [email protected] and Dr. Melissa Brunkan: [email protected]). Please be sure you have set your privacy settings so that we will be permitted to view your recording. We should receive your email at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled online interview so we will have time to listen to it.

Step #3
Please go to this link (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4AAFAE2BA7FA7-choir) to sign up for an online interview. At this interview we will not ask you to sing again. We are interested in speaking with you about your previous choir experience and what you are looking for here at the U of O. This interview will help us assess which choir will be the best placement for you.
