The Craft Center is a multi-studio recreational and educational craft facility, prioritized for UO students and also available to the Eugene-Springfield community. The Craft Center offers a comprehensive arts program open to UO students, faculty and staff, as well as Eugene-Springfield community members. The Center is both educational and recreational, encouraging all levels of interest, from begi

nning hobbyist to serious artist. With well-equipped studios and extensive workshops in most areas of the visual arts, the Center augments and compliments the educational opportunities available at the University of Oregon. We provide studio space and tools in seven areas: Fiber, Wood, Ceramics, Printmaking, Jewelry, Photography, and Glassblowing. Every term, the Craft Center also offers a series of classes that students, staff, alumni, and general public can take. The Craft Center is funded in part by University of Oregon student fees and the generous donations of current and past Craft Center users. We thank you for your continued support.

Summer 2026 in the UO Craft Center has been one for the books! Thank you to all who came in to use our studios, it was great to have you! The Craft Center will be closed for a few weeks, but don’t worry, we will be back and ready to craft in the Fall! Here are some upcoming and important dates:

September 8th, 12pm = Workshop Registration opens on our website. From this point forward you are able to register for spots in our Fall 2026 workshops, while space remains!

September 30th, 12pm = The Craft Center opens its doors for the first time of the 2026/27 school year!

October 6th, 10am = Orientation Registration opens on our website. Spots can fill up super fast so be sure to mark your calendars and complete your safety waiver prior so you have no issues registering!

As always, please reach out with any and all questions and we absolutely cannot wait to craft with you all in the Fall!

Spots remain in our Botanical Papermaking workshop this Friday 7/31 from 2-5pm and 1 spot is left in Silver Rings this Thursday 7/30 from 2-5pm. Registration closes 24 hours before each workshop so if you see that a spot is open but you cannot register, email us at [email protected] and we can get you registered!

Join the Craft Center and Museum of Natural and Cultural History for this weeks Craft in the Courtyard, Rock Painting! Find us on July 23rd from 6-7pm in the museums courtyard. Crafting is included with regular admission and free for MNCH members and UO ID card holders. No pre-registration required, first come first serve.
