Let the adventures begin!!

So, for about 6-9 months Cory’s been telling me there’s a rat skeleton behind a trailer he has parked at the house. I didn’t think much of it, and kind of wondered why he made a big deal about it.
Then we moved the trainer today, and I saw it….
THAT is NOT a rat!!
What’s your guess as to what kind of an animal it is?
(See my foot for scale - I am a size 8 in womens and size 6 in mens)

Just a personal story…
I’ve never been a runner. Yes, I’ve actually run half marathons before (around 2015), but I hated every single minute of it. You know how people can get that runner’s high. Well, that’s a physiological process that not every person has, and I definitely do NOT have it.
Last time I ran for any distance at all was probably around 2018, maybe earlier. My health kept deteriorating from MS over the years, but I kept lifting weights and other exercise. Then my appendix ruptured late in 2024, and I was essentially bed ridden for 6 months. Just about a year ago, I finally was able to even walk for more than 15 mins at a time. Rough to the say the keast! Exercise has been hard for me, which is ironic when it’s literally my JOB. But I’m slowly working my way back. I’ve increased steps since Fall, and my goal this year is 2,500,000 steps.
Four different things have occurred in the last couple of weeks that had led me to think about running again. When I encountered the fourth situation, it made me think maybe I should do this. It felt like a sign.
One of those things was that I started a Couch-to-5K group last month at work because it was in my planned “schedule” to do that. But, two weeks ago I actually started the workouts! Lo and behold … I didn’t die. It was easier than I thought it would be (but not to say that it was easy). Damn proud of myself.
It’s not too late for you to start too.
I am the slowest runner EVER, and I’m okay with that. Just proud I’m doing it.

On my way to 2,500,000 steps. 🔥
At this rate, I might be able to even hit 3 million total for the year.

Starting to feel like myself again. Feels good.

Happy Birthday, Mama Donna!
You would have been 86 today.
I know you’ve been gone a month now, but we definitely felt your presence the whole night while we played Michigan Rummy and ate your famous blueberry torte. I know you were laughing right along with us the whole night.
I miss you 💕
