Our team continues to grow! Please join us at Oregon Hillel in welcoming, Megan Steinberg as our new Director of Engagement.
Megan’s passion is centered around bringing people together. She got her start in patron services at Portland Center Stage, where she learned firsthand what it means to welcome an audience and make people feel invested in a shared experience. That thread carried her to the Oregon Jewish Museum & Center for Holocaust Education, where she coordinated school tours, community programs, and the Holocaust Speaker’s Bureau.

From there, Megan moved into customer engagement at Mental Health Match, helping build the onboarding and support systems that connected people to care during the company’s early growth. She’s spent the past several years at Block, Inc. (Cash App), most recently as Complaints Operations Specialist, a role focused on resolving issues with empathy and in line with regulatory obligations. Throughout her time at Block, she’s also served as Global Co-Chair of the Jewish Employee Resource Group at Block, designing community programming and creating space for Jewish employees and allies to connect across North America, Australia, and Europe.

Megan holds a BA in Art History & Criticism (Honors) and Sustainability Studies from Stony Brook University, Magna Cum Laude. Across every chapter of her career, one thing has stayed constant: a love of building community by connecting people to meaningful experiences, and she’s excited to bring that to Oregon Hillel’s students.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Rachel Lennard, one of our amazing University of Oregon students, on being named Co-Chair of Hillel International’s Student Cabinet! 🎉💚🦆

Rachel will help represent the voices of nearly 200,000 Jewish students across more than 850 campuses, shaping the future of Jewish campus life around the world.

As Rachel beautifully shared:

“Hillel serves as a second home for Jewish college students around the world, providing a nurturing environment for their personal and professional growth.”

We couldn’t agree more. Rachel embodies the leadership, compassion, and commitment that make our Hillel community so special. Congratulations, Rachel—we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make on students everywhere!

Student leaders will elevate the voices of nearly 200,000 Jewish students from over 850 campuses around the world.
