📚 Celebrating Patriotism Through Reading! 📚🇺🇸

Today, September 11, Marla Young and Jane Hull of the Rock Island Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution visited our school and presented our library with books about patriotism and our nation’s history. ❤️🤍💙

We are so grateful for their generosity and for the opportunity to help our students learn more about the values, people, and history that have shaped our country. What a wonderful way to remember September 11 while celebrating the love of country and the importance of service. 🇺🇸

🦋 Learning, growing, and waiting for something amazing! 🦋

Our third and fourth graders have been digging deep into Life Science over the past few weeks! 🌱🔬 They have been learning about and comparing the life cycles of different organisms—and they’ve had the incredible opportunity to bring their learning to life by studying the monarch butterfly.

Each day, students have watched with excitement as their classroom monarchs went through the amazing process of metamorphosis. 🐛➡️🦋 What began as tiny caterpillars has transformed right before their eyes!

Students also completed their first expository writing pieces, explaining the life cycle of the monarch butterfly and its incredible late-summer migration to Mexico. 🇲🇽🦋

What a wonderful learning experience—and a great reminder that sometimes the best things happen when we slow down, watch closely, and patiently wait for something amazing! 💛💙

🎉🌹 Happy Birthday, Mother Mary! 🌹🎉

Today, our school celebrated a very special birthday—the birthday of Mother Mary! 💙

We began our day by praying the Hail Mary during morning prayer. Students helped decorate our prayer table, and we sang “Happy Birthday” to Mary and enjoyed birthday cake at lunch! 🎂

A very special thank you to Mrs. Hoecker for organizing all of the fun activities, printing the adorable 3D mini Marys, and even having her students hide them throughout the school grounds for everyone to find! It was such a fun way to keep Mary at the heart of our celebration all day long. 🌹

We ended our day beautifully with a Luminous Rosary in honor of Mary. What a wonderful reminder of the joy we have in celebrating our Blessed Mother! 🙏💙

🌟 Community Service Day! 🌟

Our students rolled up their sleeves and got to work preparing for our upcoming Church Picnic! 🎉 From helping around the grounds to working together as a team, they showed that even small acts of service can make a BIG difference!

We love seeing our students learning, praying—and serving—every moment of every day! 💙💛

🙏❤️ Our 1st and 2nd grade students had a special opportunity to lead our school in praying the Rosary after today’s Mass. We are so proud of them for sharing their faith and helping our school community grow closer to Jesus and Mary. 📿✨

✏️🔤 Our kindergarten students had lots of opportunities to practice their letters this week! They worked hard on building their letter recognition and handwriting skills while having fun learning along the way. We’re so proud of their hard work! 💙💛

🌎☀️ Exploring Our Solar System! 🪐

This week our fifth and sixth grade students took learning outside the classroom as they measured the distances of the planets from the Sun to scale! This hands-on activity helped students visualize just how incredibly vast our solar system really is. 🌞🛰️

Our students created beautiful underwater artwork inspired by the incredible world beneath the surface.
