Meet Coach C…our Spotlight Coach!
While best known as the PE teacher at ECS, she also coaches ECS girls basketball and has helped out with the track team! But did you know that outside of ECS, she is the assistant coach for the softball team at Marist High School? “I love being involved in multiple sports and getting to work with different athletes throughout the year.”
Her favorite part of being a coach? “The relationships I get to build, especially at ECS. I have known some of the girls on the team since they were in second grade! It’s so cool getting to watch them grow, and being able to build a different kind of connection with them outside of the classroom setting is such a privilege.”
Coach C attended ECS for elementary and middle school. Having been involved in sports her whole life, she passes on this advice to her athletes, “Have fun and build relationships with your teammates! Sports are important, but my favorite memories as an athlete were always centered around my teammates and the memories we made together.”
When asked about various “favorites,” she says, “Isaiah 40:31, ice cream!” Can you guess what she was asked?
Thank you, Coach C for the time and energy you give to our students and athletes!
