Healthy Moves Healthy Moves is a not-for-profit organization bringing movement, fitness and fun to youth in our community.

Healthy Moves is a not-for-profit organization created to prevent childhood obesity and inspire a love of movement in K-8 students by providing in-school programs, classroom teacher support, and community connection through educational fitness. Due to school budget cuts, many physical education teaching positions have been eliminated. Healthy Moves trainers work with students and their classroom t

eacher to demonstrate fitness activities and provide a model for the teacher to use in future PE classes. Healthy Moves provides fitness formats that can be used by all teachers of grades one through five. Physical activity supports healthy social, cognitive, and physical development in children. National experts recommend that elementary-age children get 60 minutes or more of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each day. Yet, research shows that children are failing to reach even minimal benchmarks for age-appropriate physical activity. Among kids that are age 6-11, 13 percent are now obese, and this unhealthy number has been increasing. Healthy Moves for Kids provides fun ways for kids to get the physical activity that they need to be healthy.

Healthy Moves is thrilled to bring a multi-modality, all levels group fitness experience to NDW 2026. Ben will bring the room together with accessible mobility flow + breathwork. Denise will drive the energy up a level with irresistible grooving, funky beats in a fun-filled group funk aerobics session. Healthy Moves is back in the Springfield Public School District, offering a childcare physical movement program that we call "JumpStart.” We hear students are eager to get back to running, skipping, backpedaling, shooting hoops, jump roping and even doing Jumping Jacks!

We are grateful for the partnership with the following elementary schools:

Time to Boogie Down! Get your dancin' shoes on and join us next Friday for a Healthy Moves dance party with music by Henry Cooper and Friends.

Territorial Vineyard & Tasting Room • Friday, January 23rd • 6-9 pm

Featuring music by Henry Cooper, Nathan Waddell, Chad Jensen, and Pete “The Beat Burger” $1 from every glass of wine will go to Healthy Moves and there will be a raffle with items from our business community.
