Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a national holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It marks the day in 1865 when news of freedom reached enslaved people in Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It's a day for reflection, celebration, and continued pursuit of racial justice.

We encourage our Adams community to do something good today! And, take a walking tour of Eugene’s Black/African American stories using Strides for Social Justice app: https://stridesforsocialjustice.stqry.app/1

Wow! Thursday was a total blast. We completed our student experiences from the Carnival. Glow in the Dark dodgeball, bracelet making, and Ms. Bree really taking one for the team. Meanwhile, our kindergarten students learned in Camp Learned a Lot and our Strings Academy kiddos showed off their skills. Our curriculum continued as usual, as well, believe it or not! 😃
