Homeschooling Gabriel

Gabe spent a month training at the Hubbard St. Dance Academy in Chicago this summer. To get in he had to win an audition. It's the one I recently posted of him if you scroll down. They posted this picture. Pretty cool! 🤩
Also, he has been invited to perform in one of their productions in Feb. 🤩

Gabe has been coming here to Vancouver, BC Arts Umbrella School of Dance since he was about 10. He is growing into such a strong dancer in many ways. 🤩

Quote from his Mom, Karrie Walters Warren,
After 4 weeks of intense training in Chicago, "Gabriel was awarded a Hubbard Street Fellowship!!! This Hubbard street intensive is designed for adult professional dancers ages 18-24. The choreographers and company members choose three dancers for the fellowship. These dancers are invited back (with a small stipend) to train with the Hubbard Street company for a week. What made my mama heart so proud was not only the comments about his movement, but also his process and what he brings to the space. The talked about his genuineness, joy, work ethic, kindness - and how he brought his whole self into the space. We are so proud of you, Gabriel!"

Gabe is experiencing his first midwest thunder storm in Chicago. He is there for a month long dance workshop. 🤩 Being from Oregon he isn't used to heavy rain and thunder and lightning. 🤩

Gabe was the caterpillar in Alice and Wonderland. 🤩🥰
He was suppose to have a main role up front talking with the audience and being funny but he got mono and had to stay inactive for a time being.

Ok, we have all watched him since he was 4 years old on this dance journey. Let’s get him on the next journey together!
Let’s go Team Gabe!! 🥰🥰
To the little boy who told his mama,"when I dance, I disappear and become music" - I am so very proud of you.

To all who have watched Gabriel dance his heart out over the years … Karrie Walters-Warren needs your support for Support Gabriel's Professional Dance Future!
