Friendships formed during the preschool years are so much more than playdates and shared toys—they are the foundation for important social and emotional growth. 💛
Through friendships, young children learn how to communicate, cooperate, solve problems, show empathy, and build confidence. Whether they are working together on a project, taking turns during play, or comforting a friend, these everyday interactions help develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
As educators and families, we have the privilege of supporting these early connections and creating environments where children feel valued, included, and encouraged to build meaningful relationships.
The friendships children make today help shape the caring, confident, and resilient individuals they will become tomorrow. 🌟

🌟 Teacher Spotlight of the Month 🌟
This month we are celebrating the wonderful Miss Farah! 💛
Miss Farah has been such an incredible blessing to our team this year. She started the school year in our 3-year-old classroom and graciously stepped back in to help finish the year strong with love and flexibility wherever needed. Her servant heart and team-player attitude do not go unnoticed!
Her students are cared for so deeply through her patience, kindness, and gentle spirit each day. She creates such a loving environment where children can learn, grow, and feel safe and valued.
We are beyond thankful for all Miss Farah brings to our preschool family. Take a minute to read more about this amazing woman on our team and help us celebrate her this month! ✨

🦋 Watching Our Caterpillars Become Butterflies 🦋
One of the most special parts of preschool is helping children experience the wonder of God’s creation through hands-on learning. Over the past few weeks, all classes have carefully observed tiny caterpillars grow, form their chrysalises, and finally emerge as beautiful butterflies!
This experience teaches so much more than science. It helps children learn patience, responsibility, kindness, and the beauty of growth and change. Releasing the butterflies was such a joyful moment as the children watched them spread their wings and fly free. 💛
Moments like these spark curiosity, imagination, and a deeper appreciation for the world around us — memories our preschoolers will carry with them for years to come!

Today’s Mother’s Day brunch was truly something special. 💐
There’s just something so meaningful about slowing down and creating space to honor the incredible moms in our community. Watching families gather, children proudly celebrate their moms, and seeing the joy on everyone’s faces—it was a beautiful reminder of how important these moments are.
Motherhood is filled with so many unseen acts of love—early mornings, long days, constant giving—and today was a small way to say *we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you.*
It was so special to watch our students light up as they shared this time with their moms. These are the moments that become lasting memories. 💕
Thank you to all the amazing moms—we are so grateful for you and the love you pour into your families every single day. 💛 And a big thank you to Miss Cori for planning and preparing for this amazing day. Every detail was so thoughtfully and lovingly planned.

Across the country this first week of May, schools are celebrating **Teacher Appreciation Week**—and it couldn’t come at a better time. 💛
Every single day, teachers pour so much of themselves into their classrooms. They’re not just teaching letters and numbers—they’re nurturing hearts, building confidence, comforting tears, and celebrating every little victory along the way. What they do matters deeply, and the impact lasts far beyond the school year.
As a Director, I have the privilege of seeing behind the scenes. I see the early mornings spent preparing activities, the thoughtful planning, the patience, the prayers, and the genuine love poured into each child. Our teachers show up with servant hearts, and it makes our school such a special place.
This week is a beautiful opportunity to pause and say **thank you**.
If you’d like to join in celebrating your child’s teacher, it doesn’t have to be anything big—simple, meaningful gestures go a long way:
• A handwritten note or drawing from your child
• A kind email or message of encouragement
• A small treat like coffee, a favorite snack, or flowers
• Letting your child tell their teacher what they love about them
These little acts of appreciation truly mean the world.
Let’s take this next week to lift up and encourage the incredible teachers (and aides!) who care for and invest in our children every day. 💕

Community Helpers Week is coming to an end, and what a special week it has been! 💛
We had so much fun learning about the many people who help and support our community in different ways. For our final community helper, we were excited to learn from our very own Pastor Josh!
A pastor cares for people by teaching, encouraging, and helping guide others in their faith. They support families, pray for those in need, and help build a strong, loving community. It’s such an important role, and we are so grateful for Pastor Josh and the way he serves our church and school.
What a meaningful week of learning and growing together!

Community Helpers Week continues! 🚒👮♂️🍕
Yesterday, we had a visit from the amazing Coburg firefighters, and Miss Cori’s class explored the world of chefs—even baking their own pizzas! Today, we were grateful to welcome the Eugene Police Department and learn more about how they serve and protect our community. The kids even got to see a drone launch 400 feet in the sky!
This week has been so special and meaningful because it’s helping our children see the many ways people care for and support one another—and inspiring them to imagine how they can make a difference too. 💛
