A 2012 study, conducted by the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, concluded that household air pollution from cooking with solid fuels kills 4 million people annually around the world. TOMORROW environmental, health and engineering experts will showcase clean cookstove technology and design and discuss the global impacts of traditional cooking fuels. Come to the EMU Fir Room, River Room and Amphitheater from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Spark showcase, hosted by UO Global Oregon.
