⚽️ Soccer is here! ⚽️

We’re so excited to share that our high school students now have the opportunity to play soccer through an exciting partnership with Eugene Christian School! 🙌

Practices kick off Wednesday, August 19th, from 3:30–5:00 PM at the ECHS First Baptist campus and will continue Monday–Friday at the same time. Parent/Player meeting will be AFTER the first practice. This is a boy team but OSAA has graciously allowed Girl High School students to join as well, to ensure we have enough players to have a full team !💙⚽️

A special welcome to our inaugural head coach, Channing Honor, and we’re looking forward to seeing what this season brings as two like-minded schools come together to build something special.

If your student is interested in joining, reach out to Mrs. Ranch with their shirt and short size so uniforms can be ordered ASAP!

✨Mrs. Yolanda Fields | 4th Grade Teacher✨

Today we’re reintroducing you to someone who has become such a special part of the NCA family, Mrs. Yolanda Fields! 💛 From teaching 2nd -> 3rd -> 4th, Yolanda has poured so much love, faith, and joy into our students and our school community over the years.

Mrs. Fields first joined NCA as a 2nd grade teacher. She quickly fell in love with our welcoming culture and Christ-centered environment. She knew she had found a special place, one where she could openly share Jesus through everyday learning and meaningful relationships with her students.

For Yolanda, teaching is about so much more than academics. She feels incredibly blessed to help students grow in their faith, character, confidence, and integrity while discovering who God created them to be.✝️✨

If you know Mrs. Fields, you know she has a special gift for making students feel seen, valued, and loved. She brings warmth, enthusiasm, curiosity, and a sense of adventure into her classroom every year and her students feel it. It’s not uncommon to see former students stopping by her classroom for a hug, a smile, or simply to say hello. Speaking volumes about the LASTING impact she makes in our community. More than a teacher she is someone who makes her students feel truly seen and loved. 🥰

When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll likely find Yolanda singing worship, mentoring youth, coaching track, or spending time as a mother to her three grown sons and a wife to her husband.

Mrs. Fields puts her heart for teaching so beautifully: “God has given me the opportunity to work with children, and I thank Him for allowing me the opportunity to pour into them.”

A teacher who truly embodies what it means to teach, mentor, and love our students well. 🥰

We are so excited to put a face to the name and welcome Callan Coleman as NCA’s new High School Principal!

Callan brings with him a genuine love for students, a heart for Christian education, and a passion for helping young people discover the gifts and purpose God has placed within them! After serving in public education for many years, he felt the Lord calling him back, this time into Christian education. In faith, he sent what he describes as one simple email to Mrs. Armstrong, trusting God with the outcome.

Today, we’re celebrating where that step of obedience has led.

NCA (formerly WCS) already held a special place in Callan’s heart because his daughter attended WCS during her younger years. Because of that experience and the special community we have here, he is excited to be back in action! We love knowing that our leaders not only believe in our mission but also have strong personal ties to the school and a heart for the people who call NCA home.

As a devoted follower of Christ, Callan is passionate about partnering with families to help students grow academically, personally, and spiritually, with Jesus at the center of it all. He is looking forward to building meaningful relationships with our entire community as we begin the 2026–27 school year. He is also excited to see what God has in store for our high school!

When he is not at school, you’ll likely find Callan leading worship and playing music with his wife and daughter, painting, gardening, running, or exploring the beauty of Oregon. His love for music and worship is just one more way he enjoys serving the Lord alongside his family.
