The Gamma Rho chapter of Delta Tau Delta has been at the University of Oregon since it was founded in the fall of 1913. In the past four school years (2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012) the chapter has been awarded the Hugh Shields Award for Chapter Excellence given annually to the top 10 chapters in the country. The brothers here at Gamma Rho participated in the challenge to support fellow student, Osiel Mendoza, who was recently diagnosed with ALS. This challenge is a part of his campaign to raise funds and awareness in the fight against ALS.
