Are you Curious about Rhythm Kids?

Do you have an older Music Together Kid who is ready to move and groove with older kids? Teacher Sophie leads Rhythm Kids classes at Music Together Eugene where we explore djembe drumming, movement creation, part singing, and music games that are always a hit! The Hippo Collection explores songs, rhythms and dances from Ghana, Togo and Benin in Western Africa.

Teacher Sophie is excited to teach the Hippo Collection this term, her first repeat collection in the two year cycle!

What are the principles of Music Together Eugene's Music Together® program?
1.All children are born musical.
2.All children can achieve basic music competence—learning to sing in tune and accurately keep a beat. 3.Parent and caregiver participation is essential, regardless of their own musical ability.
4.A playful, musically rich, and developmentally appropriate environment best fosters young children's musical growth.

This program was developed by Kenneth K. Guilmartin and coauthor Lili Levinowitz, PhD. The songs in each Music Together collection are carefully selected and arranged to facilitate children's breadth and quality of experience. Check out the full list of fall classes at www.musictogethereugene.com
