Have your kids outgrown past year’s Halloween costume? Don’t let those fun outfits gather dust!

Roosevelt is collecting lightly used Halloween costumes to build a costume closet for future students to enjoy.

We’re accepting costumes and accessories of all sizes—just make sure they’re clean and in good condition. Donations can be dropped off in the school office from November 6th-25th.

Your generosity helps make Halloween more fun (and affordable!) for everyone in our community.

RMS - Lost and Found
Hello Families!

The Lost & Found has many sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch bag etc. If your student is missing anything please stop by the Lost & Found closet near the cafeteria. The closet will be open during Student Led Conferences so please take a look.

The Lost & Found will be closing December 3rd and all unclaimed items will be donated to Bags of Love, a non profit organization.

PAR (Parents at Roosevelt) is hosting our annual teacher appreciation soup bar on Monday, November 24th, and we’d love your help! Please share your favorite soup or stew with the Roosevelt teachers and staff during the first day of conferences.
With your help, we’ll be providing a lovely soup dinner for about 50 amazing teachers and staff during conferences!

Heads up! LTD passes may stop working after October 15th if they didn't get renewed properly behind the scenes (you don't need to do anything each year to renew your pass). If your pass doesn't work next time you ride the bus, go to the front office and ask Laura Fuhriman to get it renewed.

No School? No Problem! We have your upcoming No School days covered here at Kidsports. Kidsports is excited to offer PeaceHealth Play Days for kids when school is not in session. Your kids will get to spend the day having fun, being active, trying new sports & games, being creative and playing with friends. We still have some space in our Oct 10th Camp!

Grades: 1-5
Cost: $60 per day
Extended Care: additional $15 per day
Days/Times: No-school days 9am–4pm

CHESS CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT

1. Our team has grown to over 45, which is great! This also means we qualify for two more assistant coaches. Upcoming Event!

We look forward to seeing parents/guardians and their students at Curriculum Night this Thursday, 9/18 from 6:00pm - 8:25pm. The schedule for the evening is linked below.

Curriculum Night begins in the dining hall, where families will hear from the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Counselors. At 6:30 all families go to House, where parents/guardians will get their students’ schedules, hear from the House Advisor and from there, will attend all of their student’s classes for ten minutes each. Teachers will review content pertinent and specific to their class.

Please ensure any questions pertain to the group as whole. If you have specific questions about your student, please contact teachers individually via email after Curriculum Night.

We hope you will come in to meet your administrative team, our counselors, your student’s teachers, and to learn about your student’s classes.

Reminder! XC Season starts today!

From coaches Chris and Teresa:

"Hello student-athletes and parents!

My name is Chris Watkins and I am excited to be the head coach at Roosevelt this season. RMS physical education teacher Teresa Barrington will also be coaching with me. We’re looking forward to building a fun team and competing at five meets over the next seven weeks.

There will be a wide range of abilities on the team, and those with no previous running experience are more than welcome and will be eased into mileage and intensity as they can handle over the first few weeks. It’s a short season, but our goal is for everyone to improve greatly in their own fitness and personal goals.

Practice begins on Monday. We ask that each student-athlete come prepared for each practice with athletic clothing (shorts and shirt), appropriate shoes for running, and a water bottle. We’d also suggest sending your kids with a pre-practice snack to ensure that they have enough energy after a long day of classes.

We will be sending out updates each week via email.
