Yujin Gakuen Elementary School - Eugene 4J Yujin Gakuen was the first public Japanese Immersion school in the United State.

Our mission is to prepare students through a bilingual, bicultural, integrated Japanese/English curriculum. Yujin Gakuen offers a unique K-12 bilingual education in English and Japanese language and culture. The Japanese immersion program continues from elementary to Kelly Middle School and North Eugene High School. The student body is made up of many different ethnic groups, as well as varied cul

tural backgrounds. We welcome families that are interested in providing their children with a bilingual and multicultural learning experience.

Jeanne Mandrapa is soon hosting her annual Japanese summer camp and still has openings! This is a good opportunity for students to continue to practice Japanese during summer break.

There are two sessions (weeks). Each session (week) is $135.

Session 1 will be July 22nd to July 26th from 9am to 3pm. Students will learn about various types of dance (hip hop, contemporary, Obon and folk dancing).

Session 2 will be July 29th-August 2nd from 9am to 3pm. Students will learn about emergency preparedness.

Elementary Schools Summer Hours
School’s out for summer! But you can still get in touch with a school or the district before classes begin in September.

Open regular hours through June 26
Closed for the summer: June 27–August 14
Open with limited hours on August 15 and 16. YG will be open from 7:30 to 3:30.
Regular hours resume August 20. (Closed for training August 19)
