Mid-Willamette Industrial Electrical JATC What: We offer apprenticeship training Manufacturing Plant Electrician, Limited Maintenance Electrician, and Industrial Maintenance Millwright trades.

We are an employer and employee volunteer apprenticeship committee established by approval of the Oregon State Apprenticeship and Training Council in June 1977. We were established by approval of the Oregon State Apprenticeship and Training Council, in June of 1977, our sixteen member apprenticeship committee, the Mid-Willamette Industrial Electrical JATC, consists of employers and employees who v

olunteer their time to improve the quality of craftsmen in their given trades. We conduct quarterly meetings in order to track and review the progress of all apprentices, and to keep our training agents (participating companies) up to date on how their employees are performing. The Bureau of Labor and Industries, with whom all apprentices are officially registered, conducts compliance reviews covering all aspects of our apprenticeship program. The committee has the final responsibility of ensuring that our program complies fully with all applicable laws and Council policies and is successful in offering only high quality training to all apprentices. Our compliance reviews consistently result in the highest ratings possible, and we continue to enjoy an excellent working relationship with, and great support from, the Bureau of Labor and Industries. Who: Our committee represents more than 50 companies collaborating to improve the quality of on the job training and classroom instruction presented to new members of our trades. Completion is the Oregon pathway to a career as a licensed journey worker in the electrical field. Where: We serve the larger communities of Salem and Albany-Corvallis, as well as all the smaller communities throughout Linn, Benton, Marion, Polk, Coos, and Crook counties...and the south half of Yamhill County.
