Our 8th and 9th graders got a super cool opportunity to meet with a wildlife biologist from the Bureau of land management, students learned what native plants help maintain a diverse river ecosystem. Our red crew then helped propagate willow branches, which will then be planted at Whittaker creek to help stabilize the bank of the river!

🌳 Where was your favorite camping trip?
"My favorite memory at Twin Rivers is when we went to Mt St Helens. I could lie in a hammock and stare at the stars. There were more stars than I have ever seen."

🌳 What is something that TRCS has taught you?
"Twin Rivers has helped teach me the importance of teamwork and how amazing it is to get to know and form connections with the greatest people I have ever known."

"My favorite memory is being on spike by the McKenzie River. I just like camping and being outdoors."

🌳 What is something that TRCS has taught you?
"Something I learned at Twin Rivers is to be more friendly. Everyone here is pretty chill, and people here aren't linked in specific groups. Everyone talks to everyone."

"I don't really have any favorite memory in particular but I do recall a lot of fun times I had out in the woods with the school."

"I think I gained a greater sense of independence through my experience at Twin Rivers."
