A big shoutout and congratulations to our own Registrar, Mary Jo Goosmann, for being named President-Elect for the Oregon Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (OrACRAO)!

Within the 3 year term of office, Mary Jo will be assisting the current president with duties such as selecting the future conference site and serving on the Planning Committee, and will transition into the President role the following year.

Congratulations to Caleb Premo ‘26 on being named the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year! Way to be a Beacon!

Caleb Premo Named CCC Scholar-Athlete of the Year - Bushnell University Athletics Bushnell men's soccer senior Caleb Premo has been named the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the CCC Athletic Directors.

New 36,000-sq-ft student center coming to Bushnell University Bushnell University will begin construction on the fully donor-funded Duke Student Commons center on Alder Street later this year, expanding campus facilities.

We want to congratulate Katy Lemieux, MSN, RN, on receiving the Presidents' Award for Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership!

Katy Lemieux serves as Program Director and Assistant Professor of Nursing at our university, where she is recognized for excellence in teaching, leadership, and dedication to student success. Through her work in the nursing program, she has helped cultivate an environment that challenges and supports students academically, professionally, and personally.

Katy is known for integrating faith and learning through compassion, mentorship, and a deep commitment to preparing students for lives of service and leadership in healthcare.

Our study abroad class of 2026 is having a great time in Spain this summer!

We want to congratulate Corey Anderson on receiving the Presidents' Award for Exemplary Staff Performance and Campus Leadership at Spring Commencement!

Corey has faithfully served our university for 20 years as Athletic Director, demonstrating exceptional leadership, character, and dedication to student development. Throughout his tenure, he has fostered an athletics program centered on mentorship, accountability, and holistic student success while advancing the university’s mission and values.

Corey is widely respected for his humility, steady leadership, and commitment to supporting students, colleagues, and the broader campus community. His leadership contributed to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics conferring upon Bushnell its highest institutional honor, the National School of Character.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, as well as the communities who carry their memories forward.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we wish our Bushnell community well and express our gratitude for those who served with bravery and selflessness.

Jacob graduated with a remarkable 4.40 grade point average (GPA), with 126 credits at Bushnell, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology during Spring Commencement.
