Belief is accepting something as true with no direct knowledge (experience) of that thing. Belief does not help in navigating the environments. If someone proposes a hypothesis, test it. If it can not be tested it has no value, if it can be tested and you perform the test, you will have direct knowledge of its validity, no belief is required. Belief injures consciousness as it is a projection which results in fragmentation. Wholeness requires letting go (dropping) of all belief. A state of complete attention and emptiness. Only then can one begin to see clearly.
Creativity is an interplay between the known and unknown. For consciousness to explore the unknown it must be willing to loosen it's grip on the mechanical (reliving past experience) and embrace the emptiness of present moment with complete attention.
