At approximately 7:15pm tonight, the Eugene Association of Substitute Teachers settled their contract pending ratification! Wins include protecting long term substitute wage rates and securing equitable cost of living adjustments, eliminating barriers to accessing sick leave and health insurance, providing important job protections, and assuring access to specialized plans and adequate training. E.A.S.T. members - please keep your eye on your personal emails for details on the information session and ratification process. Nothing is final until the members approve so please be sure to participate in this important process. Thank you to all who’ve supported this campaign! We couldn’t have won this historic contract without you.

REMINDER to our guest teachers: TODAY 4:30-6:30pm at Oakshire Public House (207 Madison St.) E.A.S.T. is hosting an opportunity to socialize with other 4J guest teachers, collect resources on how to apply for other guest teaching jobs in Lane County, and hear updates from mediation!

Eugene EA had a huge year at OEA RA this year! All three new business items proposed by our members were passed on the floor! We also received some recognition at the annual banquet.
Our wonderful member Michelle Dunn received the OEA 2026 Excellence in Education Award!
Our local also received a Presidential Citation Award.
We are ready to take this energy back to our area and continue fighting for our students.

School board meeting is tonight at 6pm - show your support for 4j educators and be there, wear red 4 ed!
