UO Dance professor Walter Kennedy produced the award-winning documentary "Bella", about Bella Lewitzky, a trailblazing Los Angeles dancer, choreographer, and arts activist. "Bella" is now available to watch in the Academic Video Online (AVON) streaming platform! The Lowell Chamber Orchestra in Massachusetts recently premiered Julia Perry's Symphony in One Movement for Violas and String Basses, composed in 1961. Take a moment to appreciate the deep tessitura of this rarely-heard work by one of the 20th century's most prolific Black female composers.
