Hello Parents! We have had a remarkable few weeks at Little Bear with our bear cubs.

Our May curriculum on bugs and crawly things has been a hit, and the children have enjoyed numerous movement and outdoor activities. 🐛🪲

We are also proud to provide ample nutritious food and socialization opportunities.

We are thrilled for a summer of fun with our friends. We are currently fully booked for summer, but we are accepting waitlist applications as we await a capacity increase, leading to more spots.

We are now enrolling for the 2026/27 school year, and we bid farewell to some of our school-aged children moving on while we are excited to welcome new friends.

We made the cutest little lily pads from pool noodles 🌿🐸
We set this up right in our water table, and it instantly turned into the perfect little frog world.
Just sliced up a pool noodle, added a few frog toys, and the kids were hooked.
They loved moving them around, creating their own “frog islands,” and coming up with little stories as they played.

🐌 Beaded Pipe Cleaner Snails (DIY “Recipe”)
What You’ll Need
Pipe cleaners (bright colors)
Plastic beads (mixed colors)
Pom-poms (for the head)
Googly eyes
Glue (craft glue or hot glue)
Green paper (for leaves)
Scissors
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Make the Shell
Take a pipe cleaner and thread colorful beads onto it
Leave a small section at one end (this will attach to the head)
Coil the beaded pipe cleaner into a tight spiral to form the shell
2. Create the Head
Glue a pom-pom onto the loose end of the pipe cleaner
This becomes the snail’s head
3. Add Eye Stalks
Cut two small pieces of pipe cleaner
Stick or glue them into the top of the pom-pom
Attach googly eyes to the ends
4. Assemble the Snail
Adjust the spiral so it sits nicely behind the head
Bend slightly so it looks like a real snail shape
5. Make the Leaf Base
Cut out leaf shapes from green paper
Place or glue your snail onto the leaf for display

We are thrilled to announce a major upgrade to our Certified Home Program in West Eugene! 🐻🏠

Starting this June, we are launching our brand-new Outdoor Classroom! This fully covered space will feature a usable sink, allowing us to move our education, science, and sensory play outside for a sun-focused summer program. 🌿🎨
What to expect by June:

✨ Custom Sandbox: A brand new space for creative play.
