Farmers, take time-stamped photos of crops, animals, and stuctures before the storm.

⛈️If you experience damage or losses from Hurricane Isaias, take the following steps to ensure proper documentation and assistance:

⛈️Before starting any cleanup, take time-stamped photos of all damage and losses.

⛈️Contact your Farm Service Agency (FSA) to report losses. This helps prepare a loss assessment report, which is crucial for designating an agricultural disaster area.

⛈️Report losses within 72 hours of discovery, and provide a signed written notice within 15 days. This must be done before cleanup starts to ensure proper documentation.

⛈️If you're enrolled in the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) or other disaster programs, contact your local FSA office for a waiver before beginning any cleanup. 🥜Eufaula Alabama FFA Chapter students learned about peanut pod blasting from Aaron Wells, Alabama Extension Agronomic Crops Agent. Wells and Mitzi Clayton, County Director, visited Eufaula High School today.

🥜Peanut pod blasting is an agricultural process that uses a pressure washer to remove the outer layer of a peanut shell, exposing the inner mesocarp color to determine the crop's maturity.
