🎉 CONGRATULATIONS ELSIE SHIRLEY! 🎉

Help us congratulate Elsie Shirley, a senior at Houston Academy, on officially joining the 3️⃣0️⃣+ Club! 💪📈

Elsie has big plans after graduation! She’s headed to Auburn University, where she plans to major in Architecture. 🏛️🧡💙

We are so excited to celebrate this accomplishment with her and can’t wait to see what she builds next, both literally and figuratively! 😉

Way to go, Elsie! 🥳🙌🏻

Help us welcome Keaton Carder, a senior at Headland High School, to the Impact team! 🐏 🎉

Keaton came to Impact for an ACT class and impressed us so much that we offered him a job! Sometimes, you recognize talent and just have to make it official. 🥳

He’s a math whiz, and he’s already jumping in to help! Here he is working with Lane Beasley on some college math. Way to go, Keaton! 👏

We’re so glad to have you join our crew! 🚀💡

Over the last couple of months, I’ve enjoyed having a little ACT fun in Andalusia classrooms. We’ve been working through questions, talking through strategies, and adding a little friendly competition along the way. We even got to play some ACT Tetris Tumble! 🧩🎉 Who says ACT prep can’t be fun? 😉

With Andalusia’s homecoming tomorrow, we’re cheering you on in the classroom and on the field. Good luck, Bulldogs! 🐾🏈

A huge shout-out to this amazing group of students who just completed our small-group ACT prep class! 🎉💛

Most of them will put their hard work to the test tomorrow, while a couple are continuing to prepare for October. No matter their test date, we are incredibly proud of the time, effort, and determination they brought to every class.

This sweet picture says it all. We love seeing the friendships they formed and the way they supported and encouraged one another throughout the process. We are so excited to see what they accomplish!

Help us wish them confidence, focus, and BIG score increases! 📈 🚀

We are so proud to support Headland High School’s Graphic Arts program and SkillsUSA! These students did an incredible job designing and producing the fan giveaway, and we absolutely love how the Impact fan turned out! 💙💛

Thank you for allowing Impact Tutoring & Consulting to play a small part in supporting such talented students and the opportunities that career and technical education provides. Go Rams! 🐏

*It’s FREE for students who are eligible for an ACT fee waiver! 🙌

We’re officially declaring September 3 National Take Your ACT Prep Tutor to School Day! 📚🗓️

Last Thursday, I had the privilege of spending the day at St. Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman working with their faculty for ACT professional development — and this one was especially meaningful.

The young man pictured with me, James Gillis, is a former student of mine who had an incredible summer! After putting in the work and seeing a huge increase in his ACT score, he even spent a few days helping us out at Impact. 💡 So to then have James think highly enough of the work we did together to advocate for bringing me to St. Bernard to work with his teachers made this opportunity that much more special. There are few compliments more meaningful to an educator than having a former student believe in what you do enough to bring you into their world. 🤍

And what a pleasure it was! The faculty and staff at St. Bernard were absolutely incredible — welcoming, engaged, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping their students succeed. I loved spending the day learning alongside them and talking about practical ways to strengthen ACT preparation across the school.

And I have to mention the campus… absolutely stunning. 😍 St. Bernard is truly a special place!

James, thank you for thinking of me, advocating for Impact, and giving me the opportunity to be part of your school for the day. I’m incredibly grateful!

So here’s to the first annual National Take Your ACT Prep Tutor to School Day. May there be many more! 🚀

💙🐆🤍 A Winning Monday with the Barbour County Jaguars! 🤍🐆💙

When we arrived at Barbour County High School last Monday, these Jaguars already had plenty to celebrate! 🎉

🏈 They were coming off a 28–15 football win.
📈 AND they had just made news for some pretty incredible ACT growth!

Barbour County ranked 3️⃣4️⃣th among roughly 3️⃣4️⃣0️⃣ Alabama public high schools for its increase in ELA proficiency—and the Jaguars even found themselves featured on the first slide of an Alabama Daily News story highlighting ACT gains across the state! 📰👏 (You can find the article here: https://aldailynews.com/alabama-public-school-juniors-post-strongest-act-proficiency-rates-in-years/)

So what better way to keep a winning weekend going than with an ACT Boot Camp for juniors and seniors?! 📚🐆

We spent the day working through ACT strategies, sharpening skills, building confidence and, as always, having a little fun while we did it. 😉

There were Walmart gift cards up for grabs throughout the day, although we’re still not entirely sure how the seniors managed to have ALL the luck when the winners were called.🤔😂

And one very lucky Jaguar walked away with a Visa gift card! 💳🎉

A huge THANK YOU to TRIO/Talent Search for continuing to invest in these students and creating opportunities like this for them. And an especially big thank you to Catherine Pierce, who puts so much time and effort into making sure these students have opportunities, resources, and people in their corner. ❤️

We are always grateful when TRIO invites Impact Tutoring & Consulting to be part of that work.

Barbour County, you’re winning in the classroom and on the field! WE SEE YOU! Keep it going, Jaguars! 🐆💙
