We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately—but only because we’ve been VERY busy behind the scenes. 😅
We have about a month’s worth of exciting Impact news to catch you up on, and we’re starting with one we’ve been waiting all summer to share:
🎓 This year, Impact Tutoring & Consulting awarded over $4,000+ in scholarships to local students! 💰
Over the next few days, we’ll introduce you to each of our scholarship recipients. But today, we’re starting with the two who helped make so much of it happen behind the scenes for everyone else: Yandel Bussey and Darius McQueen.
Yandel and Darius have been much more than tutors at Impact. They’ve spent countless afternoons and evenings sitting across the table from younger students, explaining problems one more time, encouraging them when they were frustrated, celebrating their wins, and helping us create the kind of place we wanted Impact to be. While we were busy investing in the older students, they were investing in our younger crew.
So when it came time to award this year’s scholarships, we knew we wanted to invest in them, too. ❤️
This month, both officially began their freshman years of college: Darius at Auburn University and Yandel at Troy University.
There’s something pretty special about watching two students who spent so much time helping other young people prepare for their futures step into the futures they’ve worked so hard to create for themselves.
Congratulations, Yandel and Darius. Thank you for everything you’ve poured into Impact and into the students who came through our doors.
