Can you tell how EXCITED we are about our end of the year JAG-K Community Puzzle PBL??!!
Our amazing JAG-K scholars at Carl Bruce Middle School are partnering with The JAG-K Success Academy to help bring UNITY to the community during this year’s Jamie Craig Legacy Event at Wyandotte High School on May 21st!
At our “Pieces of Purpose Table,” community members will help us build “The JAG-K Community Puzzle”, a powerful, hands-on activity centered around connection, purpose, and togetherness.
To prepare, our students have been hard at work painting puzzle pieces red, white, and blue! Community members who stop by our booth will select a meaningful prompt, write their response on a puzzle piece, and connect it to others to create one giant puzzle that represents the strength and unity of our community.
This project truly highlights the heart of JAG-K and the many ways our program empowers students while bringing people together. From ordering shirts to preparing snacks for participants, our students have poured so much energy, creativity, and excitement into this experience and we cannot wait to represent JAG-K at this special event!

So proud of our seniors at Leavenworth Senior High School as they prepare to graduate this Saturday! 🎓✨ This week was full of celebration — from receiving their Certificates of Mastery, cords, and gift bags to enjoying an unforgettable end-of-year party and Senior Dinner at the Suburban. Thank you, Mrs. Liley, for having us yesterday at Magnolia Beauty Academy, LLC. My Turner Middle School JAG-K students really enjoyed learning about the beauty industry, nail technology, and what it takes to turn a skill into a career.

They loved the hands-on activities, but one of our favorite parts was the entrepreneurship segment. Learning how to price nail sets based on time, products, skill, and design helped students see that the beauty industry is not just about talent. It is also about business, professionalism, and knowing your worth.

I always love when my students get to experience careers outside of the classroom. Opportunities like this help them see different career paths and understand that success can look different for everyone.

Thank you again to Magnolia Beauty Academy for welcoming us and giving our students such a meaningful experience.

WHOA! The growth of our JAG-K program at Carl B. Bruce Middle School has been amazing!
In my first year, we had a waiting list of 57 students. The following year, that number jumped to 208. This year, the demand reached a whole new level, we had 145 students sign up in just one hour during day one of registration, all within two short lunch periods. The response was so overwhelming that we made the decision to cancel day two of the registration event.
What’s driving this momentum is clear, the impact is real, visible, and meaningful. Students see the work happening throughout the school. They hear about the difference being made in the community. Most importantly, they witness the growth and success of their peers.
Each year, more students recognize that JAG-K isn’t just another program — it’s an opportunity. And now, hundreds of middle schoolers are eager to be part of something that’s equipping them with real world skills and a true advantage for their future.

JAG-K officers and seniors at Leavenworth Senior High School had an incredible retreat filled with learning, leadership, and team bonding! ✈️

Students had the opportunity to tour the Signature Aviation air traffic control tower and flight school, where they explored different aircraft, learned how air traffic is managed, and discovered a variety of career paths in aviation. It was an inspiring, hands-on experience that opened their eyes to future possibilities!

A special thank you to Cornerstone Aviation Academy for providing this amazing opportunity and helping our students explore the world of aviation.

After an exciting day, the group wrapped up their retreat at Chicken N Pickle, where they focused on team building and began planning for summer activities. 🐔🏓

We’re proud of these students for investing in their growth as leaders and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
