💛 Etowah City School students and staff are participating in the Heart of Gold program to help support children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Our school goal is to raise $1,500.

If we reach our $1,500 goal, the entire school will earn a Pajama Day!

It’s College & Career Exploration Month!

This week, some of our students enjoyed a fun College Bingo activity! They traveled around the school finding faculty and staff members who matched different college facts and collecting their signatures.

Our faculty and staff also shared their own college experiences by displaying signs outside their doors showing the college they attended and the degree they earned.

We love giving our students opportunities to explore the many different paths available to them after high school!

Reminder: This Friday, September 4th, is a scheduled Inservice Day for teachers, and Monday, September 7th, is Labor Day.
Students will have no school on Friday or Monday. We hope all of our families have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Congratulations to our CTE students!

Today, a group of our 7th and 8th grade CTE students competed in the Region 4-H Family & Consumer Sciences Skillathon, and we are so proud of each of them!

A special congratulations to Adi Strickland, who placed 3rd overall out of all middle school students in the individual competition!

And congratulations to our 8th grade team, who placed 1st overall out of all middle school teams!

For the past 3 weeks, 5th grade has been reading all about how corn grows, how it’s used, and writing about whet they have learned. Thank you to the Morgan family for sending us a corn stalk that the kids could see the whole process of how the corn is grown. Today, the kids got to see the corn cob that was grown and feel the corn inside and why so much is used for livestock.
