Exciting News!

I am excited to announce that I have created three new children's books in Hinono'eitiit (Arapaho Language) with English translations included! These books were created to help support and promote Arapaho language learning for children, families, and classrooms.

Titles:
Hecoxonookee - Little Buffalo
Be'enoo Niibeetneeyei3eit- Turtle wants to Learn
Neniiiwoohuut - My Family

Each book will include a QR code (don't try the ones on the covers now, these are examples) that allows readers to hear the story read aloud, making language learning even more interactive and accessible.

The Arapaho Lesson Today:
Arapahos believed that being this way was a supernatural gift from the animals and birds. These people had miraculous power and could do supernatural things. For instance, it was one of them being the first to make an intoxicant from rain water. So I guess you can say that the g**s have always been about that party life. Lol jks 🤣

So I did a song/music unit with my high schoolers, as an end of the unit assignment they had to choose a song and translate a few lines of lyrics of their choice. Students chose a wide range of artists like Drake, A$AP Rocky. SZA, and others.
They did it on their own then I made corrections and we finished their songs of their choices.
So today I am posting: Hot Line Bling by Drake that was chosen by one of my students.
